United States: President Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, forcing him to cancel a campaign event in Las Vegas and likely side-lining him for days.
Mild Symptoms Reported
The diagnosis, which has produced only mild symptoms so far according to his doctor, comes amid increasing calls from Biden’s allies and supporters for him to drop out of the race due to concerns about his ability to defeat former President Donald J. Trump.
As reported in Newyork times, Mr Biden told the reporters over there, “I feel good,” as he boarded Air Force one in Las Vegas and where he was flying back to his beach house in Delaware, where is basically plans to recuperate. Though this is a good decision to isolate himself and take rest over there.

Impact on Campaign
But having Covid is all but there are some certain critics who got chance to question Biden’s ability to run the case against Mr. Trump in the campaign rallies, interviews and other events also.
And if Mr. Biden continues to test positive for the next few weeks, this would really going to affect his decision to fight the case against Trump and also if he continues to have congestion and a cough as his doctor said on Wednesday it could hamper his ability to perform well in any interviews and his campaigns could schedule from his home.
Ongoing Challenges
Biden was scheduled to speak at the yearly conference for UnidosUS which is a Latino civil rights and advocacy organization, but he cancelled after an hourlong delay when his COVID test came back to positive.
Even after everything going on these days Biden trying desperately to end the conversation about his cognitive capacity and address what the polls suggests are three of the biggest political weaknesses.
Karine Jean-Pierre who is the White House press secretary, said in a statement that “earlier today, following his first event in Las Vegas, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19.” She added that “he is vaccinated and boosted, and he is experiencing mild symptoms.”
